Sales Consultant
Main Purpose of Job:
As a Sales Consultant you are responsible for developing sales of the Company's products and services through developing contacts with prospective customers, negotiating and closing sales. You will generate your own leads and communicate with the Sales Director on a daily basis on the progress of current prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales of Company products and services to predominantly new clients
- Lead generation through research and networking
- Cold calling to identify and sell to key decision makers.
- Achieve both personal and Company revenue targets
- Carry out the entire sales cycle with prospective customers
- Communicate, liaise, and negotiate externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business
- Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed targets
- Manage your own time in relation to current prospects and future leads
- Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims
- Respond to and follow up all sales enquiries using appropriate methods
- Record, analyse, report and administer according to systems and requirements.
- Attend and present at customer meetings where required
- Constantly update and develop your own knowledge and understanding of industry changes and Company products
- Develop your sales techniques to constantly improve performance
Essential requirements:
- A proven track record in selling in a B2B environment
- Cold calling experience
- Full sales cycle experience
- Able to sell over the phone and face to face
- Ability to pick up a technical product
- Ability to develop successful relationships at every level
- A confident negotiator
- Able to organise own workload
- Excellent written communication skills including spelling and grammar
- Commercially focussed, with strong business acumen
- Driven and self-motivated
Industry-specific experience is not required as full training is provided.
